Charles “Pat” Merry

Background

Pat Merry is the Legal Administrator of the North Little Rock/Sherwood, Arkansas office.  The office provides personal attention and assistance with any railroad matters including benefits, such as Railroad Retirement Board, Metra Health, and Provident and Hospital Associations.

Prior to joining Bauer & Baebler, P.C., Mr. Merry was an investigator for 20 years.  A Kentucky Colonel, he is a co-founder of the Independent Workers of North America and is a past General Chairman, Director of Railroad, and Assistant to the International President of the Boilermakers International.  He also served as an Executive Board Member of the Railway Employees’ Department and Railway Legislative Executive Association.

From 1969-1971, Mr. Merry served in the U.S. Army in a railroad battalion consisting entirely of railroad workers of all craft and classes from across the United States.  The friendships he made nationwide, coupled with his union experience, have allowed him to be in almost every major railroad shop and location in the country.

Mr. Merry served a four-year Boilermaker apprenticeship in Paducah, KY., on the Illinois Central Railroad.  He is a certified instructor for various safety programs and the Railway Labor Act.

Mr. Merry is assisted, in our North Little Rock/Sherwood office, by Shirley Clary and investigators Bob Swanger and John Peterson.
